La visionaria e ipnotizzante Gia Ford annuncia il suo attesissimo album di debutto "Transparent Things", che sarà pubblicato il 13 settembre, via Chrysalis Records.
Registrato a Los Angeles presso i rinomati Sound City Studios con il leggendario produttore Tony Berg (noto per il suo lavoro su album come "Stranger in the Alps" e "Punisher" di Phoebe Bridgers), "Transparent Things" è una raccolta immersiva che mostra come Gia sia in grado di creare canzoni come nessun altro artista della sua generazione.
L'alienaziona è il tema principale che attraversa tutto l'album: “Most of the characters in these songs are outcasts, all with unique ways of feeling on the periphery, somehow”. Gia afferma. Sebbene ogni canzone operi nel proprio regno, tutte le tracce sono collegate da una linea di eccentricità che trasforma Transparent Things in un'odissea di emarginati. "Thematically it has a mythical quality, stemming from the repeated references to creatures, ghosts and undefined spirits. It’s a world of its own, where the characters have more in common than I initially thought was possible.".
