Breakthrough pop singer-songwriter Emei, shares her newest single ‘RABBITHOLE’, from her upcoming EP. which is injected with Emei’s signature explosive, energetic pop sound and reflects the fast paced, booming upwards trajectory Emei is currently moving on.
Off the back of an incredibly successful debut album, 'SCATTERBRAIN' earning critical praise from the likes of Billboard, People, and Ones to Watch, “RABBITHOLE” continues Emei’s streak of evocative lyricism that fans have grown to love while emerging into fresh pop soundscapes.
"'RABBITHOLE' sounds and feels like falling and panic and your mind racing," says Emei. "We play with whimsical magical touches and racing sounds and all sorts of breakdowns. It touches upon how even though I’ve tried mantras and affirmations and breathing exercises, it often just makes me fall deeper and deeper down into the rabbithole."
Emei spent the first part of this year performing sold-out shows in Europe and at beloved venues in major US cities. With a run of shows beginning this fall in Melbourne, Australia as part of her first headline tour ever, Emei will also perform at major U.S. festivals like Austin City Limits in Austin, TX.
With dripping vocals, slicing wit, and a rapidly growing loyal fan base, viral alt-pop artist Emei has infiltrated the pop psyche via her hyper-relatable musings on young adult life. Songs like “Scatterbrain”, “Irresponsible” and “Better People to leave on Read” have quickly made their way into the hearts, onto the playlists, and out of the mouths of screaming fans at sold out shows in the US, Canada and Europe.
