Ahead of their new studio album release, the Slovenian pop-rock group Joker Out presents international single "Stephanie." This love confession about Stephanie, will be one of the English songs on Joker Out’s new release, their first album featuring songs sung in three different languages.
“Stephanie” will introduce the global fanbase of Slovenia's most famous pop-rock band to the album “Souvenir Pop.” The creation of this album began with the song “Carpe Diem” and their major international breakthrough in the spring of 2023. This was followed by great singles like “Everybody's Waiting” and two big regional summer hits, “Šta bih ja” and “Bluza”, which fans have listened to about 2.5 million times so far.
Joker Out will promote the new album on their Album Release Tour in Adria region this November and December, while fans in the rest of Europe will get the taste of “Souvenir Pop“ on big tour in 2025.
“The song was originally written as a happy song, but in the end, it turned out that ‘happiness ain’t built for people like me, and love ain’t built for people like me,’ so it ended up with a sad twist,” admitted Bojan Cvjetićanin, Joker Out's vocalist and the song's writer, adding, “It’s a song about a night when I met and lost the love of my life.”
Joker Out has established itself as a leading name in the region’s emerging music scene. Within just a few seasons, Bojan, Kris, Jure, Jan and Nace have impressively captured the hearts of Slovenians and thousands of fans across Europe and beyond.
After enormous local success in their early years, the band achieved an international breakthrough in 2023, when they represented Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest, followed by their first European shows. "Carpe Diem" has since risen to the prestigious ranks of Billboard’s most-streamed songs in the region across all major streaming platforms. This extraordinary Eurovision sensation and generational anthem has garnered an astonishing 25 million streams on Spotify alone and reached the “Top 10 Spotify Global Viral Chart,” making it the third hottest Eurovision track and earning them a gold record for 2 million premium streams in Finland!
The band embarked on their first major European tour, covering 13 countries and 22 concerts in some of the world’s most iconic venues, including O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London and Academy 2 in Manchester, making them the youngest artists from Slovenia or Southeast Europe to perform at these venues. Over the summer, they played a summer festival tour, performing at the EXIT Festival, Sziget, and Sea Star Festival, among others.
